The Begining of an Adventure!
In May of 2020, I was stuck at home due to covid making my semester remote. While browsing the internet late into the night I stumbled across a Solstice GXP at an insurance auto auction. It was listed for an incredible deal (first red flag), it also said that it was a running and driving car and a video of it running was even given. In the video, there were some weird sounds but I thought it was just a belt (Second reg flag). When I went to buy it, it gave me a warning telling me that it was a parts-only car but I just brushed that off (Third red flag). After it was all paid for and after a second attempt to make it through NYC traffic in a time under 4 hours, I was able to pick up the car and trailer it home. that’s when the fun started!

The Start of the teardown
After getting the car off the trailer, and charging the battery, I soon realized that there was an air horn and a custom security system. After gathering my hearing back, I started trying to figure out how to disable the security system. This soon turned into an absolute monstrosity of wire handing from the dash. So I decided to take it all apart and rewire the entire car
Picking up the car from the auction
This shows the car right after it was loaded onto the trailer for me to bring it home. It was very dirty and had this ugly wrap. It also had stickers all over and overall the car was in one piece but I realized how much work this is going to be!
